Tall ships are a regular sight in Weymouth harbour, many a ship passes through the port reminding us of Weymouths history as a busy trading port in centuries past. In Centuries gone by, Weymouth would have been bustling with tall ships such as the one in this picture everyday. In fact, it was aboard such a ship that the Black death arrived in Melcombe Regis in the summer of 1348. The picture here shows 'Sunset' a tall ship visiting Weymouth harbour in October 2017. Sunset is used as a training ship. The picture shows the evening sun setting over Weymouth harbour and this visiting tall ship.
