Weymouth Holiday Guide

Weymouth has one of the finest beaches on the south coast. There is the main town beach with golden sands, beach huts and donkeys. Further along theres Greenhill and Preston beaches that stretch all the way to Bowleaze cove. Around the other sand, you have the rock pools at Newtons cove, along the Nothe Gardens, and Castle Cove beach.

Weymouth harbour is a busy working harbour consisting of the inner harbour and marina and the outer 'Weymouth Old Harbour' with its colourful quaint fisherman cottages on one side and restaurants and bars on the other. Weymouth pier and stone pier form the walls of the harbour. Theres plenty to do with fishing and speedboat rides, Cruises around the coast or even a trip across from one side to the other on a rowing boat.

Weymouth has a few museums to visit too, there is the Tudor House, the Nothe Fort and the Weymouth museum. All telling the wonderful history of Weymouth from its beginnings to the present day. All are well worth visiting. The Nothe Fort, set in a Victorian Fort on the edge of the peninsula offers fantastic views across Weymouth, Portland and across the bay.
