A picture of Weymouth Harbour from the stone pier
The Weymouth harbour picture here shows Weymouth old harbour from the stone pier. The old harbour is steeped in history and we can see the colourful rows of Weymouth harbour cottages. The large building shown at the back of the cottages is the Holy Trinity church near Chapelhay sitting directly opposite the swinging Weymouth town bridge.

Weymouth Harbour is one of Weymouths most popular attractions. Weymouth harbour is still a busy working harbour used by commercial fishing boats and patrol boats throughout the year. While the bigger cruise liners and ships tend to use the much larger Portland Harbour. Weymouth harbour is also extremely popular with sailing clubs and pleasure boats with the many Weymouth harbour moorings being very popular throughout the summer months. Playing a large part in Weymouth history, Weymouth harbour has seen the Crabchurch conspiracy, the arrival of the black death and also took part in the D-Day preparations, Weymouth harbour has always been at the forefront of Weymouths history.
