Newtons cove is a small cove found towards the back of the Nothe gardens and is one of the most beautiful parts of Weymouth. If you walk away from the old harbour, past the Brewers Quay and Hope Square, Walk down to Newtons road and you will find Newtons cove with its rockpools and shingle beach. The small beach at Newtons cove is a popular spot in the summer away from the bustling main Weymouth beach. From Newtons cove, you can see the breakwater and breakwater fort, the cliffs out towards the white horse at Osmington and Lulworth and the short but pleasant walk will take you round towards the Nothe Fort and stone pier. The picture here shows the Nothe peninsula with the cliffs further along the coast taken from Newtons cove.
